Pin it down?

Ok this is a quick posting....but thought I would do it while this thought was current and in my mind!  This evening I have been getting to grips with Pinterest....those savvy online marketers will know this new social media platform grew faster than Facebook and as they should every marketing department jumped on there to make sure their brand had space on the next big thing.

For the B2C marketing world this forum is truly amazing and I read somewhere they are going to build offers into pinned items as alert.  So if you pin that beautiful French Connection top you want,  when/if  that item goes on sale or offer you will be alerted...I mean seriously that is AWESOME!


For us B2B marketers the power of Pinterest remains to be seen - this completely depends on the nature of your business and I am no expert on how this will go I literally started Pinning today (http://pinterest.com/sangeeta1/) ! 


But where I was going with this post is to understand any of these new social media platforms that arise USE THEM AS A CONSUMER! Only then can you understand how each platform will work for your business and product!  


Create a personal account first get tweeting, posting, pinning whatever it maybe this way your under less pressure to do it right and can learn as you go, this reverts back to a 101 marketing principle...CONSUMER BEHAVIOUR!
