The Power of Process

Processes are in place in companies to create efficiencies get the most productivity out of your work force for minimal cost? Makes complete sense right? The more streamlined your processes the quicker people should be able to work therefore turning around more work leading to more sales/revenue etc?? So why oh why do so many larger companies get this so wrong!

I cannot begin to describe the level of process inefficiencies I have seen over the years and by far the biggest culprit are the Big Boys.  For a company that runs events it makes sense for your event registrations to feed into one system and then again into your database....so why is no investment given to make this possible this process would save Marketers an average of 3 hours of faffing a week...do the maths:

3 x 52(weeks in the year) = 156/7.5(average working day) = 20.8 days

So that's 20.8 extra days from one person - where they could be getting extra sales, generating more marketing revenue, exposing your brand to new audiences all in all eventually adding to your bottom line.

I know what you are thinking....but its not that simple? Well isn't that why you do a Cost Benefit Analysis then....?
