Whats your content strategy for 2013?

If you are bored about talking about your product then your audience are sick of hearing about it..its that simple!

I am ashamed to say on my recent project I felt like the ultimate marketing spammer!!! Even though I had a very well designed comms plan portraying different key message, which included a lot of very targeted messages which of course performed the best and we also had lots of content to pump out...I still felt sick and tired of re-hashing the same thing..basically saying ATTEND OUR EVENT!

We all hear everyday in the marketing world that content is king and its all about engaging  your audience....but in some industries and companies where marketers are no more than churning machines pumping out emails, directing telesales campaigns, updating websites etc where is the time to come up with a well executed content strategy?

For marketers the challenge lies in creating the correct format of content for your audience as well as getting more creative with how content is presented.  As everyone jumps on the content marketing band wagon consumers could be subject to information overflow...so how will they sift out  that golden nugget of information that leads them to your product?

Its all in the content of the content...good content makes consumer stop, read, think and act!
